A GOLF club near York has got behind a campaign which allows everyone involved in sport to show their support for LGBT equality and inclusivity.
Forest Park Golf Club, in Stockton on the Forest, is backing Stonewall’s 2018 Rainbow Laces campaign.
Yesterday, the club handed out rainbow laces to golfers competing in a ladies competition.
Nicola Crossley, manager at Forest Park Golf Club, said: “Golf sometimes gets a bad press for some of its more outdated practices but here at Forest Park we take a much more modern approach.
“All our members enjoy playing golf either socially or in the many ladies, men’s and the popular mixed competitions and the recently introduced competitions where men and women can play in the same event. We are pleased to support the rainbow laces campaign.”
