FIREFIGHTERS tackled a fire involving two vehicles in a North Yorkshire village last night.
Fire crews were called to reports of a vehicle on fire in Sherburn-in-Elmet at about 10.30pm.
When they arrived, crews confirmed that the fire involved two vehicles and a hedgerow.
A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire fire service said the fire had spread from one vehicle to the other and the hedgerow.
It is believed the fire was caused by an electrical fault on one of the vehicles, the spokeswoman added.
The flames were put out using two hose reel jets and breathing apparatus.
