I notice some members of the city council are unhappy with the street names that Persimmon Homes have proposed for the Germany Beck estate.
I can quite understand residents not approving of tempting fate by naming the new roads after waterways, so I would like to propose the following in honour of those responsible for the over-development of the Green Belt and to remind us of how the city has changed over the years:
- Grandstanding Grove
- Resignation Road
- Bad Bargaining Lane
- Parking Permit Terrace
- Public Consultation Close
- Congestion Crescent
- Pothole Place
- ANPR Avenue
And in recognition of the vision from both Persimmon Homes and the forward thinking council planning officers, not to mention making the Londoners that will soon be purchasing one of the new properties feel right at home, I recommend the following:
- Directorship Drive
- Stocks Rise
- Fairburn’s Way
