EVERY year, the Grand Opera House, York, runs a competition with all York's schools to design the cover of the pantomime programme, and this time the winner is Maisie Smart, from Hempland Primary Academy, Whitby Avenue.
"I am really excited to win and excited to see the show," says seven-year-old Maisie, as she looks forward to Cinderella And The Lost Slipper. ”I enjoy art and I painted the picture in half an hour."
Cinderella will run from December 14 to January 5 with the promise of "lots of surprises, hilarious comedy, fabulous sets and costumes and a magical flying horse and carriage" and a cast led by Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton as the Fairy Godmother and Milkshake presenter Amy Thompson in the title role.
Tickets are on sale on 0844 871 3024 or at atgtickets.com/york.
