A CASH machine was targeted by raiders near York - just hours after a similar attack earlier the same day.
The Press reported on Friday that an ATM at the Co-op store in Beckfield Lane, Acomb, was attacked and damaged. North Yorkshire Police said it happened between 4.30am and 5.15am on Friday.
It said suspects used force to try and steal money from the machine.
Now North Yorkshire Police has revealed that another similar incident was reported with the ATM at Martin House in Strensall, which was targeted at around 2pm on Friday.
It said force was used again to try and take money from the machine.
Police are now appealing for information about any vehicles, or persons who were seen in the areas during the times of both incidents.
Officers would specifically like to speak to anyone who may have heard the suspects attempting to gain access to the cash machines.
