DEVELOPERS behind plans to turn a disused golf course at Flaxby, between York and Knaresborough, into a 2,750-home settlement say more than three quarters of people who attended a showcasing event supported it.
A Flaxby Park Ltd spokesman said an overwhelming majority preferred it over the location suggested for a new settlement in Harrogate Borough Council's Draft Local Plan in the Hammerton/Cattal area.
