THE sickness outbreak at York Hospital appears to be over - at least for now.
Three wards -23, 37 and 39 - were closed to new patients and all but essential visitors last weekend because of bugs such as norovirus.
Wards 23 and 39 re-opened earlier this week and a hospital spokeswoman said today that the remaining ward - 37 - was reopening this afternoon, meaning no wards would now be closed.
The public has been urged to help prevent norovirus spreading at the hospital by staying away if they've been sick, until they are free of symptoms for 48 hours.
