ENTRIES are now open for the East Riding Festival of Words Poetry Competition, with a chance for adults to win £500.
This year’s theme is ‘My Story’. Entrants can choose how they write about this; it could be based on their life story, a pivotal moment or even where they see their future.
The competition is £3 per adult entry. Submissions can be anything up to 45 lines, on a sheet of A4 paper. Pick up an entry form at any East Riding Library, or at: https://www.festivalofwords.co.uk/poetry-comp/
Primary and secondary school age children can also enter for free, with a prize pot of £50 for each category. The closing date is December 1.
