Government inspectors say that York only needs 442 new homes per year while our local plan says we need at least double that figure (Hearings on housing needs urged, The Press, November 15).
Before developers start unnecessarily concreting over our green and pleasant city, surely we need the proof of where the evidence came from for these two hugely differing figures?
