THE great-great-grandson of a soldier killed in the First World War paid tribute to him on Remembrance Sunday.

George Lee Sabin died in the three miles east of Ypres on November 1, 1914, just three months after enlisting with the Army to fight in the First World War. His body was never recovered, and his name is on the Menin Gate memorial at Ypres.

On Sunday, Selby Army cadet Ethan Daniel Sabin, 17, wore his Great Great Grandfather's medals at the Selby Remembrance day parade.
