A MAN was arrested after being subdued by police in York.
North Yorkshire Police said the 44-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of common assault against a woman and assaulting a police officer.
The incident happened in Davygate just before 4.30pm on Sunday, Nov 11.
A spokesman said on Monday that officers had to use PAVA spray to subdue the prisoner, who remained in custody for questioning.
