A 24-YEAR-OLD man has claimed in the witness box that he did not sexually abuse an under-age girl and did not try to rape her.
Ashley Gordon Thomas, of Ascot Way, Acomb, York, denied that he was sexually attracted to the alleged victim or young girls.
He also alleged the girl had lied when she gave evidence earlier in the trial that he had abused her.
Thomas denies 14 charges including three of attempted rape and four of sexual assault.
The trial at York Crown Court continues.
