THE A64 between York and Malton is scheduled to closed again this weekend as work continues on a major road reconstruction.
Work began last month to renew the carriageway between Crambeck and
Low Hutton as part of a £1.4 million scheme.
Due to the size of the repairs, the Highways Agency say that the work cannot be done using lane or overnight closures and will mean the closure of the road.
The next two weekend closures of
the A64 will take place from 8pm on Friday, November 9, to 6am on Monday, November 12, and from 8pm on Friday, November 16, to 6am on Monday, November 19.
Clearly signed diversions containing the Highways England logo will be in place.
A spokesman for the Highways Agency said: “The work is going ahead as planned, unless the weather forecast for the weekend changes this week.”
