I AGREE entirely with Matthew Laverack’s letter (The Press, November 6) condemning Spark:York and on the same basis one should include York City Football Club’s new stadium.
There was an article a few weeks ago in The Press which stated the new stadium looked in great shape.
One could say in about as good a shape as the Spark:York ill-conceived monstrosity in Piccadilly.
It is dull and as unimaginative as any building could be which is not enhanced by its increased height.
I always read with interest Matthew Laverack’s letters because he knows what he is talking about.
I always look for a reply in The Press from City of York Council in defence of their actions. I haven’t seen one yet.
