A WOMAN suffered suspected chest and abdominal injuries after her car crashed and landed vertically down an embankment.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service tweeted this picture of the vehicle, which crashed on the A168 at Walshford, near Wetherby at 2.35pm today.
Crews from Knaresborough and Wetherby removed a door to released the woman, who was trapped in the vehicle, and who was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Acomb and Huntington firefighters attended another single vehicle collision at Huntington, York, at 1.47pm, but no one was trapped and one male casualty was taken to hospital by ambulance prior to the arrival of the fire crews, who made the scene safe.
