COUNCIL chiefs are warning of a string of road closures in York city centre on Saturday.
York for Europe is staging a parade in the city on Saturday afternoon (November 10), prompting City of York Council to introduce the road closures. From noon to 3pm Blake Street, St Helen's Square, Stonegate, Low Petergate, Church Street, Parliament Street, High Ousegate, Spurriergate, Coney Street, New Street and Davygate will be closed to traffic.
Hundreds of protestors are expected to join the People’s Vote march, which starts at 1pm in St Helen’s Square. The campaign group is calling for a public vote on the final Brexit deal.
