CHRISTMAS lights will be switched on tomorrow evening at York's Coppergate Centre, which has two huge Christmas trees this year.
The lights will be turned on by BBC Radio York’s Adam Tomlinson and Anna Wallace, assisted by the cast of Sleeping Beauty, a Rowntree Players panto which hits the stage at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre next month.
The celebrations start at 5.30pm with a performance by the choir from Appleton Roebuck Primary School.
Shoppers will also see York’s ‘Magic Ball Man’, Steve Bullen performing spectacular contact juggling with his crystal spheres and also tricks with illuminated batons.
