A MAN had to be taken to hospital after a fight at a York pub.
North Yorkshire Police were called to "reports of a number of men fighting" at the Clifton Hotel, in Water Lane, at about 7.45pm on Friday, November 2. One man in his twenties was taken to hospital with injuries that were not believed to be serious. A man in his forties was arrested in connection with the incident and bailed while enquiries continue.
Police said a short time later, there was a disturbance outside McColls shop in Crichton Avenue, which police believe may be linked.
A man in his twenties was arrested in connection with the second incident and bailed while enquiries continue.
Anyone who saw either fight or has information which could help police should phone 101, quoting reference 12180205421 in relation to the first incident and 12180205330 for the second.
