Two York Co-op stores will reopen on Friday with seven new jobs after the organisation spent £1.2 million on overhauling them.
Its service station on Great North Way in Nether Poppleton will have a new car wash and extended food store.
Its food store on Church Street, Copmanthorpe, is also set to reopen after an overhaul.
Area manager Michael Calvert said: “We’re confident that the improvements will help us to better serve the community. “
