Steph McGovern in "Chocolate", featuring York and chocolate in the BBC2 series Made in Britain
YORK'S sweet success will fill the nation’s television screens for an hour tonight.
Steph McGovern will present a BBC2 documentary on how the city transformed chocolate from a luxury drink for the rich to a treat for everyone.
“Chocolate” starts at 9pm and is the second in the new Made in Britain series which describes how craft and manufacturing have transformed the nation’s towns and cities.
It will feature the history of chocolate in York and contemporary craftworkers trying Victorian chocolate techniques.
