ESTONIAN musicians have entertained York's Lord Mayor at the National Centre for Early Music.
The Early Music Group of Kiili, a borough in the north of Estonia, joined York's Minster Minstrels to play a variety of music from the middle ages, the renaissance and baroque periods at a lunchtime concert at St Margaret's Church, Walmgate, the centre's home.
A total of 13 musicians and singers from Estonia, wearing authentic costumes, performed in both English and Estonian at the second event in a series of concerts to raise money for the Lord Mayor's charities.
Lord Mayor, Cllr Keith Orrell, said: "It is very important to continue to develop cultural links with other countries.
"Last month we were at a concert with an Australian male voice choir, in June a choir form Norway and this month, musicians from Estonia."
The event was organised by Music Hub, which raises funds to help young people get involved in music.
