A WOMAN has been rescued after falling down a well in a York village.
Fire Fighters were called to Strensall at 6.15pm yesterday, where they found the lady who had fallen 5 metres and was standing at the bottom of the well, waist deep in water.
Fire crews used a triple extension ladder to help the lady climb out and administered first aid to a head injury until the ambulance arrived.
