HORRIBLE Histories author Terry Deary has visited York to meet fans at a signing session for his new book, Wiggott’s Wonderful Waxworld: Terror Train.
Mr Deary attended a ticketed event at Barley Hall, in Coffee Yard, on Tuesday, when the price included a copy of the book and entry to Barley Hall’s Magic and Mystery exhibition, an extra spooky treat for Halloween.
The Sunderland children’s author’s visit coincided with this week’s run of Horrible Histories: Terrible Tudors and Awful Egyptians at the Grand Opera House, presented by Birmingham Stage Company until Saturday with a cast featuring North Yorkshireman Izaak Cainer alongside Lisa Allen and Simon Nock.
Tickets for Horrible Histories are on sale on 0844 871 3024 or at atgtickets.com/york
