A MAN has been cut free by firefighters from a car which crashed into a building in a village near Selby.

Humberside Fire & Rescue Service said the accident happened at 11.14am today in Gowdall Lane, Snaith.

A spokesperson said two people released themselves from the vehicle, prior to the arrival of fire crews, and hydraulic cutting gear and stabilisation equipment was used to free the male casualty, who was left in the care of an ambulance crew, while the incident was left with police to deal with.
