1973: A sunlit scene at Marygate Landing with, in the background, Lendal Bridge and the Guildhall
OLD friends and neighbours from a long-vanished York community are invited to share their memories.
The get-together is a chance for people to reminisce about living in Marygate, once a close-knit community of terraced streets.
In the 1970s, the site was subject to a compulsory purchase order and was turned into a car park.
Everyone is invited to attend the gathering on Sunday, November 25, at 7pm, in the Burton Stone Inn.
