SELBY Civic Society has produced a then-and-now 2019 calendar to mark their 50th anniversary next year.

The calendar, which shows various parts of the town from days gone by, was almost a sell-out within a couple of weeks.

Now, further copies of the A3-sized calendar have been reprinted due to popular demand.

The society was formed in 1969, to help the town celebrate the ninth centenary of Selby Abbey, which had a visit from Queen Elizabeth II to distribute the royal maundy.

The calendar has been designed by society member Angela Lambert-Dowell, and is available in Wetherells store in the town centre priced at £7, or can be posted to any UK address for £10.
