A CYCLIST was injured in a collision with a vehicle on the A19 near York this morning.
The crash was reported to the police by the ambulance service at about 8.40am. It involved a grey Volkswagen Touran people carrier and a 65-year-old local man on a bicycle, North Yorkshire Police said.
It happened south of Shipton by Beningbrough, near The Sidings turn-off.
A police spokesman added: "The injured man has received treatment for head and rib injuries that are not believed to be serious."
Witnesses to the collision are asked to phone North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1, and speak to the force control room, quoting reference NYP-22102018-0085.
