A DRIVER was taken to hospital and a lorry ended up on its side after a crash in North Yorkshire early this morning (October 19).
The collision, which involved a Lexus car as well as a lorry, happened on the A171 at Stainsacre, near Whitby.
North Yorkshire Police said it was called to the crash at about 3.30am.
A police spokeswoman added: "The driver of the Lexus has been taken to James Cook Hospital with a head injury. The driver of the lorry was uninjured.
"The road was closed and diversion in place through Stainsacre village. The road reopened at around 7.45am."
