A SERVICE was held in Copmanthorpe to commemorate those who died during the First World War.
As part of York's ongoing centenary commemoration programme, Councillor David Carr read names of the fallen from the King’s Book of York Heroes at Copmanthorpe War Memorial on Friday, October 12.
A plaque was also unveiled in remembrance of the men and women of the former Copmanthorpe Aerodrome, supported by Copmanthorpe Parish Council, at the memorial in Main Street.
