RESIDENTS in Selby have been urged to ensure they do not leave valuables in their vehicles following a break-in in the town.
North Yorkshire Police said a white Ford Transit was broken into at about 10pm on Wednesday, October 17, while parked in Germain Close.
Items stolen from the van included a 'Snap-On' tool box in fluorescent green, which contained various hand held tools worth £2,000, and a 'Work Zone' inverted generator worth £300.
Anyone with information or who has been offered similar items for sale should phone police on 101 quoting reference 12180185680.
