A RECRUITMENT business has continued its expansion across Yorkshire by opening of a new office with a dedicated team in York.

Turning over £6.5 million with over 40 staff, Scarborough-based Castle Employment has tripled in turnover and people over the last four years.

It has two offices in Scarborough, an office in Leeds and plans to grow further across the region.

The business said the new office in York supports the progression of the business and responds to a growing number of recruitment requirements for York-based clients and candidates.

Recruitment specialist, Michelle Johnson-Vasey, has been appointed branch manager supported by Nichola Breslin who has been appointed office resourcer.

They will work alongside Melanie Jones, head of HR recruitment, who has been driving growth in the York area for the last two years and specialises in recruitment for high level director and manager level HR roles.

Castle Employment Group provides temporary, permanent and contract staff for businesses across Yorkshire with specialist divisions in engineering and manufacturing, HR, business support, accountancy and finance, hospitality and cleaning, industrial, construction and agriculture, IT, sales, procurement and education. It also offers an HR and employment law consultancy service providing support at all stages of the recruitment and employment process.

The York office will have a focus on business support roles which incorporates administrators, marketing, customer service, data inputting along with all levels of HR and other head office positions across York and North Yorkshire.

Kerry Hope, managing director of Castle Employment Group, said: “The strategic growth into York has been on our radar for the last 24 months. Often attracting the talent is the hardest part of any growth strategy and so having an office in York will help us to attract and support our candidates and grow our client base."

Michelle Johnson-Vasey added: “Joining Castle is an amazing opportunity to be part of an innovative company at the forefront of the recruitment market. Having spent 15 years in recruitment, it is great to be able to offer a ‘boutique service’ to new and existing clients with a ‘full cycle recruitment and HR solution’ where clients are looking for a recruitment partner in a demanding market."
