BOXING champion Amir Khan delighted children and young people when he made a surprise visit to Martin House.
Amir met children, young people and their families, when he called in to Martin House Hospice Care for Children and Young People.
He spent time chatting to the youngsters, posing for pictures and signing photos for them, as well as being taken on a tour of the hospice.
Clair Holdsworth, director of care, said: “It was amazing for children and young people at Martin House to get the chance to meet Amir, and chat about his career. He was absolutely brilliant with them.
“Making memories is a big part of hospice care, and Amir’s visit was certainly something the children and families who had the chance to meet him will remember for a long time.”
Martin House cares for children and young people across West, North and East Yorkshire who have life-limiting conditions, at its hospice and in their own homes, as well as supporting the whole family.
