A TEENAGE girl was allegedly assaulted by a man in a North Yorkshire town.
The 14-year-old was assaulted as she walked along a footpath in Thirsk, between Sowerby Road and Topcliffe Road, leading on to Holly Close, North Yorkshire Police said.
It happened at about 3.20pm on Saturday, the force added. It did not give any further details about the assault when asked by The Press.
The suspect is described as white, aged in his 30s, with medium length dark brown or black hair, slightly receding on the forehead, and a thick dark brown or black beard. He was wearing a dark clothing and white shoes.
North Yorkshire Police is now appealing for witnesses.
DC Adam Scott said: “This is a very concerning incident, so I am asking anyone with information that could assist the investigation to contact the police.”
