MORE people are being encouraged to consider adopting children in North Yorkshire.
One Adoption North and Humber have called on people to consider adoption during National Adoption Week, which runs until October 21.
Suzie Grove, adoption service manager for York and North Yorkshire, said: “We would love to hear from anyone interested in learning more about adoption. We need all kinds of different families to meet the varied needs of children across our region. As five councils collaborating together we will speed up the adoption process for children in our care in some localities, and help children be matched to the right adoptive parents more quickly.”
To find out more go to oneadoption.co.uk or visit an information session on November 5, between 5pm and 6.30pm at West Offices in York.
