A CRACKDOWN has been launched on doorstep criminals.
North Yorkshire County Council trading standards officer have launched an initiative with police to stop vulnerable and elderly residents being targeted by rogue traders. As part of a week of action, police made arrests, seized high value assets and went on joint patrols.
And two people were arrested in relation to an investigation into a conspiracy to defraud a man in his 80s of his life savings.
Advice was provided for vulnerable residents and no cold call zones were established in some areas.
