A LECTURE on the development of the railway, will be held in York on Tuesday.
Mark Calvert, civil engineering project manager at Mott MacDonald will discuss how the railway was developed in the early 19th Century, along with the hazards, tragedies and successes along the way.
The lecture is hosted by the Yorkshire Philosophical Society from 7.30pm at the Tempest Anderson Hall in the Yorkshire Museum.
