BUSINESS in York are being urged to to enter the region’s ‘Raising the Bar’ social impact awards.
The awards are part of West and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce’s business engagement programme.
Raising the Bar supports and recognises those businesses which have given time or resources to help local causes and made an impact in their community, to their environment, their employees or to education.
The initiative includes the recent launch of a new diagnostic tool to help businesses in York, North Yorkshire, Bradford and Leeds to review their social impact. The Raising the Bar programme culminates with an awards event on November 27 at Leeds Civic Hall.
President of York Chamber of Commerce, Bridget Davies, said: “We’re looking to not only recognise and reward those going above and beyond but to inspire others to think more about where they can make a positive impact.”
The Raising the Bar awards are free to enter.
