ON Monday, the experts at the IPCC made it extremely clear that there is no time to lose to drastically cut our carbon emissions, or risk leaving a dreadful mess for our children to try to deal with.

Back in the 1980s I started studying waste and resources, pollution and greener lifestyle choices.

In the 1990s I did a degree which covered many of these areas, although I chose to become self employed as an entertainer and continue promoting “green” issues as a volunteer.

In 2008, I won an award from Oxfam as I had the lowest carbon footprint out of the 100 or so entrants, the lowest in the UK, so it’s true to say I’m an expert in cutting carbon.

I am willing to help any business, organisation or individual to cut their footprint and will not ask for a fee.

I can advise on energy, heating, transport, diet and more - I will provide a simple list of changes, many of which will save money and all will cut carbon pollution, many will improve quality of life.

I have tried in so many ways to encourage people to go greener, except individualised, one-to-one “Carbon Coach” help.

I’d be very happy for people to email me on jscossham@gmail.com and ask me to book an appointment, anywhere in the City of York Council area which I can cycle to in under an hour.
