LOOK out for York guitarist Henry Bird when The Meat Loaf Story visits York Barbican on October 18 at 7.30pm.

He will be among the cast for Steve Steinman's show as he returns to the city where he was born and raised. He now travels the world with his band The Pauper Kings, performing in Australia at this year's CMC Festival, then flying straight to Nashville, USA, to record with "people at the top of the industry".

Bird had kicked off his musical career with his band Kid Ego, later touring with Steve Steinman for three years around Britain and Europe. Over the years, he has supported such country acts as Rascal Flatts, Lady Antebellum, Hunter Hayes, Dwight Yoakham and Carrie Underwood, as well as British pop band Mcfly.

After returning to Britain in 2016 to marry his long-time girlfriend, Henry was approached by his friend Steinman, producer and lead performer in the touring concert musicals Vampires Rock and The Meat Loaf Story and has since enjoyed an involvement in both shows.

Indeed he will return to York on January 25 next year to appear alongside former X Factor winner Sam Bailey in Steve Steinman’s Vampires Rock at the Grand Opera House.
