POLICE say a lit firework was posted through a letterbox at a house in East Yorkshire.
Humberside Police received reports that four youths were walking around Bracken Road in Driffield at around 8am on Sunday carrying what was described as a flare.
The force said: “The firework was put through the letterbox of one house causing smoke damage and damage to the door. The firework went out quickly.
“The people inside the house were unhurt apart from suffering slight smoke inhalation.
“Witnesses say the males were all dressed in black clothing and were possibly in their late teens.”
