A BLAZE which broke out in a village near Selby is being treated as arson.
A crew was called to the fire involving approximately 150 round bales of straw in Chequer Lane, Riccall, at around 6.55pm yesterday.
They put out the fire using one hose reel, pitchforks and rakes.
All the bales were destroyed by the fire.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "The cause is believed to be deliberate."
