A MARTIAL arts group in Easingwold has opened its own dojo.

After 20 years teaching in local North Yorkshire venues, AI Martial Arts have opening their own dojo in Easingwold.

Clive Greenhalgh, a co-owner with nearly 50 years martial arts training experience, said he was thrilled about the new training gym at Shires Bridge Business Park.

He said: "We’ve been looking for a bigger, more permanent premises for a while now and Easingwold is ideally placed.

"Having our own dojo means we’re now able to offer more classes, more arts and to a wider range of members."

The club currently has members aged five to 65, and encourages people of all ages and abilities to give martial art activities a try.

Jon Dilworth, Clive’s business partner and martial arts trainer, said: "Martial arts are a fantastic way to get fit, build self-confidence and reduce stress.

"Some members join to increase fitness, some to learn self-defence, and others to learn and improve their existing skills – we’re a friendly lot and everyone works at their own pace."

New members are always welcome and the first lesson is free. To find out more, go to facebook.com/aimartialartstraining or phone 01347 811351.
