INTRUDERS smashed the front window of a shop and made off with a number of items.
Universal Geek comic shop in Malton, which opened in July, was broken into overnight on Wednesday.
Sally Coultman, who runs the store with her partner Mark Brannan, said: "It is a real blow as we have only been open for a few months.
"They must have climbed in as various things have gone including items I had handmade which are one-offs."
Anyone with information should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting reference number 0097.
