A MAN was rescued from the River Foss in York.
North Yorkshire Police were called to the Foss at about 11.15am on Wednesday, after a member of the public entered the water.
A police spokesman said: "The male became weak and started to struggle.
"However from the quick response from members of the public, brave officers and @YorkBIDRangers, we were able to get the male into medical care."
