POLICE investigating an alleged sex attack on a teenage girl have renewed their appeal for help to find a man who they believe may have vital information.

A 19-year-old was seriously sexually assaulted in York in the early hours of May 30, say police.

Detectives have released CCTV images of a man in his late teens or early 20s, who may be a student or friends with students, who they think may be able to help with their investigation.

At the time of the offence he is believed to have been living in Tang Hall.

As the academic year begins, officers have renewed their appeal to find the man.

Police originally ask for help with their investigation in June when they appealed for help to find a key witness, a taxi driver, who has since been traced.
