SCORES of colourful hot air balloons have gone up, up and away and were scattered across the York skyline this morning (September 29).
Crowds of spectators gathered on the Knavesmire on a sunny, crisp autumn morning as the second day of the York Balloon Fiesta got underway.
The festival began yesterday and visitors were treated to a mass balloon launch and a dazzling balloon night glow event.
There will be another night glow event this evening, plus a firework display.
The festival, which ends tomorrow, also features a fun fair, birds of prey show, children’s activities and entertainment, along with live music, a beer tent and street food stalls from Yorkshire vendors.
