STAFF at an estate agents in York showed off their baking skills in aid of Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning - and their cakes were judged by two chefs.
Michelin-starred Andrew Pern, chef/director of The Star Inn The City, on Museum Street, paid a visit to Savills’ York branch on the same street yesterday, along with chef Matthew Hunter, the restaurant’s director of operations.
They decided that the best cake at the coffee morning was a lemon and poppyseed cake made by Andrew McRoyal.
Savills was among the businesses, schools and charities across the York area that held events for Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning yesterday.
