YOUNGSTERS at Clifton Green Primary School put their baking skills to the test to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Children from nursery up to Year 6 brought in their cakes and buns on Friday morning for the ‘Great Clifton Green Bake Off’.
Their bakes were judged by Ben Fry from Minster FM and Flory Young from The Mayflower bakery in Clifton.
There were more than 100 entries.
On Friday afternoon, the school held an open cafe for parents and the public for people to enjoy the tasty treats baked by the pupils.
About 200 people attended the cafe.
The school raised more than £450 for Macmillan on the day.
Schools, businesses and charities across the York area held events for Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday.
