A LORRY shed its load of milk on a roundabout in North Yorkshire this morning.

It happened on a roundabout near Goldsborough, close to Harrogate, where the A59 turns into the A658.

The lorry was moved and the road surface cleaned before the carriageway fully reopened.

Sergeant Paul Cording, of North Yorkshire Police, tweeted that there were minor delays for drivers.

Firefighters as well police attended the scene.

A spokesman for North Yorkshire fire service said: “We were called to the incident at 8.14am.

“We just contained the spill.

“Highways had a road sweeper to absorb the milk at the scene.”
