MORE than 1,000 people turned out to see classic cars, motorcycles, buses and lorries at a rally in York.
York Historic Vehicle Group held its 41st annual rally on Knavesmire, which it says is York’s biggest classic vehicle show.
About 650 vintage vehicles were on display.
Gary Cammiss, chairman of York Historic Vehicle Group, said: “It was a really good day.
“People come from as far as the north east and South Yorkshire.”
Food and refreshments were available at the event, and there were trade stalls, selling motoring items.
Meanwhile auctioneers Dee Atkinson & Harrison attended and brought along motorbikes and a classic car for its forthcoming auction at Sledmere House.
York Historic Vehicle Group is a non-profit-making organisation and will be donating proceeds from the rally to various charities.
